How to remove write protection from USB?

Some time a flash drive or a USB gets write protected by some means. The drive shows its size just as normal drives do but when you copy a file to the drive or from the drive it show a notification that the drive is write protected.
To resolve this kind of problem here are the simple steps as under

STEPS

  1. First of all open the command prompt from the start menu.
  2. then in the command prompt type "diskpart".
  3. after opening the disk part now type "list disk" and enter.
  4. now the list of all the disk will appear.
  5. you will have to select the disk which is your flash drive or USB.
  6. to select the disk type"select disk 1" (one in my case,in your case it may be 0,1,2 or 3)
  7. after the selection now type, a message will appear that disk 1 is selected.
  8. now type "attributes disk clear readonly" and hit enter.
now a message will appear "disk attributes cleared successfully".

hope your write protection is removes through this trick.
