Some time a flash drive or a USB gets write protected by some means.The drive shows its size just as normal drives do but when you copy a file to the drive or from the drive it show a notification that the drive is write protected.
To resolve this kind of problem here are the simple steps as under
STEPS
- First of all open the command prompt from the start menu.
- then in the command prompt type "diskpart".
- after opening the disk part now type "list disk" and enter.
- now the list of all the disk will appear.
- you will have to select the disk which is your flash drive or USB.
- to select the disk type"select disk 1" (one in my case,in your case it may be 0,1,2 or 3)
- after the selection now type, a message will appear that disk 1 is selected.
- now type "attributes disk clear readonly" and hit enter.
hope your write protection is removes through this trick.
